Ground and air actions
Bump
Receives or redirects the ball as a first touch.
Spike
Attacks the ball after jumping.
Set
Creates the team's second-touch attacking window.
Block
Reflects an opponent's attack at the net.
Power control
Advanced Controls
Advanced Controls add manual power to bumps, ground sets, and jump sets. Holding the action changes distance and height, which lets a setter choose between a quick nearby ball and a longer side set.
- Begin with neutral power until contacts are consistent.
- Use lower power to keep a receive or set close.
- Use higher power only when the target has room to adjust.
Input comfort
Custom keybinds
Keep movement available while pressing Jump, Dive, and the two contextual action buttons. A good bind is one you can repeat without moving a finger away from the direction needed for tilt.
Change one bind at a time, then test it in Practice Mode before ranked.
Directional control
W, A, S, D tilt guide
| Input | Spike effect | Block / set use | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| W | Faster downward contact | Pushes block rebound down | Too low when far from net |
| S | Deeper, slower landing | Sends a block or set farther | Long when power is too high |
| A / D | Extends the side contact area | Moves coverage or set lane sideways | Out-of-bounds side contact |
| No tilt | Most predictable neutral route | Stable default contact | Easier for defense to read |

Volleyball Legends controls FAQ
How do you enable Advanced Controls in Volleyball Legends?
Enable the Advanced Controls option before entering a match. The option adds manual power control to actions such as bumps and sets. The exact menu position can move after interface updates.
Why does left click bump sometimes and spike other times?
The action is contextual. Left click while grounded performs a bump; left click while airborne performs a spike.
Can you change keybinds in Volleyball Legends?
Yes. Custom keybind support was added early in the game's update history. Keep jump, dive, and the most-used contextual action reachable without releasing movement controls.
